Repeat Prescriptions
COVID-19 TEMPORARY MEASURES
Whilst we are going through this pandemic, prescription requests can be submitted via our online service or by telephone after 11am. We are accepting requests up to 1 week before medication is due. We are currently processing our requests at the Practice approximately 48 hours after receipt but there is a significant delay in pharmacies dispensing your medication sometimes up to 7 days. Please order in good time up to 1 week before you run out. If you have ran out, please let a member of the staff know and we can mark your prescription as urgent.
Patients on regular treatment are able to order repeat prescriptions in a number of ways:
- Online – follow the link at the top of this page to complete a simple registration.
- By post – send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want it posted back to you.
- Emergency prescription requests - please DO NOT order emergency prescriptions via the website as they need to be handed to a receptionist for processing on the day
Alternatively you can ask one of the local chemists to collect this for you – all you are required to do is to write the chemist name on the counterfoil.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and collected at the Surgery, remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. For requests made via a chemist or to collect from a chemist please allow 72 hours.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ORDERING SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE TO PATIENTS AT THE BRANCH SURGERY MEANTIME
